Showing up before the first bell

Practical school support that gives children confidence for the term ahead.

A new school term should begin with hope, but for many underserved families it begins with worry about bags, books, writing materials and other basic requirements. When those items are missing, a child can feel left behind before learning has even started.

Lifeshare’s Back to School work responds with practical educational support. The materials may appear simple, yet they help children participate, protect their confidence and arrive in the classroom feeling prepared rather than singled out by what they do not have.

The programme also recognises the pressure carried by parents and caregivers. Meeting part of a child’s school need can make a family’s burden lighter and allow limited household resources to stretch towards other essentials.

Our purpose is not simply to hand over supplies. It is to stand beside children at an important point in their development and remind them that their education matters, their effort is worth supporting and their circumstances should not decide the size of their future.
